LONGREEF BEACH HOUSE

The house at Longreef on the Northern Beaches was designed and built by the clients themselves with help from the studio. The house was about maximising the views and outlook to the ocean and golf course opposite the site. The clients wanted to create a seaside home that draws on the tradition and vernacular of beach cottage houses in the area. Timber weatherboards, detailed window and door details, and filigree timber trim and balustrade details combine to evoke this Australian beach cottage feel.
